Take a sad song and make it better. The spirit of distribution lies in the takeaways. On the occasion of Independence Day, we're privileged to share the happiness. Take a look at some of the moments...
'Wise men say, Only fools rush in.' Nonetheless, when friends betray faster than memory, we still believe in getting by with a li'l help from our relations & ties. Rakshabandhan this year speaks volumes of happy faces beyond mere blood relations. Some moments with our very own BSF, heart-felt thanks will be a mere understatement.
Fridays are fun. Sprinkle colors on paper, or sketch with a pencil, certain days lend you goosebumps. It was an immense pleasure to host the sit & draw competition in the wake of Vigilance Awareness Week of India, '18 in association with The Telegraph Young Metro & Coal India Ltd. That art and art only has the magic wand to check corruption, is one of the brilliant initiatives, that will inspire young minds to live and build art. For, the dreamer in us will always be pastel shades.
Dear Teachers,
Sometimes fall back. Fall back in a way that the laid-back-sleepy-last- bencher smiles at you even for once. Let him make noise but make him learn the basics of sound editing. Push him from a cliff but make him believe that the fall is worth it. Help him discover the wonder of reading books. And when he grows up, tell him to bundle his sadness and go for the take-off. His life is worth yours, just let him dream of a country beyond strict disciplines.
Regards & A Happy Teacher's Day.
Don't jinx it, else celebrate. Little Star High School takes upon its 42nd Foundation Day to reflect not only the beginnings and its founders, but also on the significant development since the institute's inception.
A day set aside to celebrate our history and revisit and reconnect with the aspiring journey. We celebrate, for we are blessed with beautiful surroundings and wonderful creatures we still call colleagues and friends. On a note of progress, here's wishing us with many more to come.
FIRE SAFETY WORKSHOP
On 24th January 2020 the Fire Department of West Bengal Government conducted a Fire Safety Workshop in the school. The workshop was for students from classes VIII to XII and as well as for the teachers.
The members of the team gave live demonstrations on different fire fighting techniques. They taught the ways of using fire extinguishers, fire balls, sand and other fire fighting equipment. Different fire prevention techniques were taught as well as how to check short circuits and electric fires. They also taught how to act in case of fire caused due to gas cylinder leakage. Students and teachers got a chance to try their hands on different fire fighting equipment.
Another important technique they taught was how to escape or save someone from smoke. Students learnt that the best way to avoid smoke is to lie and crawl through it rather than walking as smoke rises above the ground level.
They also displayed fire proof jackets, portable saws, oxygen masks which are used by them for saving lives.
Overall the workshop enriched and enlightened everyone about fire prevention and safety measures.
